Integrating Facebook Pixel

Updated
3 min read

Integrating Facebook Pixel with Blanxer involves several steps, starting with verifying your domain in Facebook Business Manager and culminating in adding the Pixel ID to Blanxer. It's important to note that this process requires a Facebook Business Account, as it cannot be accomplished with a personal account. Below is a detailed guide to help you through each stage:

  1. Create a Facebook Business Portfolio and Ad Account

Since the sales campaign requires a Business Account, you'll need to set up a Business Portfolio and an Ad Account: If you already have a business portfolio, you can skip this step.

  • Create a Business Portfolio:

    • Go to Meta Business Suite and click on Create an account.

    • Log in with your personal Facebook account credentials.

    • Enter your business details as prompted to set up your Business Portfolio.

  • Create a New Ad Account:

    • In your Business Portfolio, navigate to Settings.

    • Select the Accounts tab from the sidebar menu.

    • Click the Add dropdown menu and choose Create a new ad account.

    • Enter your ad account details, including the account name, time zone, and currency

    • Assign the appropriate permissions to individuals who will manage the ad account.

  • Add Payment Details:

    • Within the newly created ad account, go to the Payment Settings section.

    • Click on Add Payment Method and enter your billing information.

    • Ensure that the payment method is valid to avoid any disruptions in your advertising campaigns.

  • Verify Your Domain in Facebook Business Manager

Domain verification is essential to establish ownership and manage your domain's link editing privileges. Here's how to do it:

  • Add Your Domain to Facebook Business Manager:

    • Log into your Facebook Business Manager account.

    • Navigate to Business Settings.

    • In the left-hand menu, click on Brand Safety and then select Domains.

    • Click the Add button and enter your domain name.

Choose a Verification Method: Facebook offers three methods to verify your domain: use this method Meta-tag Verification

  • For integration with Blanxer, the Meta-tag Verification method is recommended:

    • In the Meta-tag Verification tab, you'll find a meta tag provided by Facebook.

    • Copy this meta tag.

  • Add the Meta Tag to Your Blanxer Website:

    • Log into your Blanxer website's admin panel.

    • Navigate to the Meta Tag Loader plugin.

    • Paste the copied Facebook meta tag into the plugin's interface and save the changes.

  • Complete the Verification Process:

    • Return to Facebook Business Manager.

    • Click the Verify Domain button.

    • Facebook will check for the meta tag on your website and, upon finding it, will verify your domain.

3. Create a Facebook Pixel and Integrate It with Blanxer

Facebook Pixel allows you to track visitor interactions on your website. Here's how to set it up:

  • Create a Facebook Pixel:

    • In Facebook Business Manager, navigate to Events Manager.

    • Click on Connect Data Sources and select Web.

    • Click Connect and enter a name for your Pixel.

    • Click Create Pixel.

  • Obtain Your Pixel ID:

    • After creating the Pixel, go to the Pixels section in Events Manager.

    • Select your Pixel from the list.

    • Your Pixel ID will be displayed; copy this ID.

  • Add the Pixel ID to Blanxer:

    • Log into your Blanxer website's admin panel.

    • Navigate to the Facebook Pixel plugin.

    • Paste the copied Pixel ID into the plugin's settings and save the changes.

By following these steps, you'll successfully integrate Facebook Pixel with your Blanxer website, enabling you to track and analyze visitor interactions effectively.
